dude there is a whole world out there that you obviously haven't discovered. the sixties weren't just a decade it was the beginning of an era. that era is coming upon us fast and people like devendera are intune with it and are the leaders. open up.
TONS of individuals drop acid these days. humanity itself has been consuming psychedelics since the cro-magnon days....psychedelics open you up to a the real side of nature. a vein of truth running through this maya indused reality.
if you were on his plane -his level -his music would mean alot more to you, but you cant see it. And im not talking about a level that only exists while on psychedelics. im talking about a higher consciousness.

I know I'm extremely late to the party that is Bolano, but he is one of my favorite authors of all time, and after coincidentally just doing a project on Tom Wolfe for a journalism class I'm taking in college, I too realized the reference to Wolfe after rereading the book a couple days ago. I'm glad someone picked up on it because frankly, by that time in the book, most people are sick of all his allusions to fellow writers and begin to simply skim when he begins his long lists of "congratulations" of sorts by adding his friends and contemporaries in his books.
